Transformative Frames Orientation (TFO)

Transformational Framing Orientation (TFO) is a comprehensive and adaptive approach to understanding oneself, others, and the world. It involves consciously 'excavating ',  recognising, mapping, and transforming the 'frames’ or lenses through which reality is perceived, interpreted, and engaged. This method goes beyond merely acquiring knowledge or skills by fostering meta-cognitive awareness of the structures—such as stories, values, metaphors, power relations, and assumptions—that influence what is visible, marginalised, or invisible within any given context. Such an approach empowers learners, particularly young individuals, not only to absorb knowledge but also to actively create and steward more just, compassionate, and regenerative frameworks for individual and collective life and coexistence. Frames are not static perspectives but "containers of meaning" that facilitate the bringing together of people, histories, absences, and emergent realities into dynamic relationships. TFO integrates multiple dimensions of learning and acting: (i) Practical/Praxis Components (ii) Intellectual Development (iii) Emotional and Reflective Tools (iv) Moral and Ethical Growth.
